Michaela Berova was born on March 9th, 1988 in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. She graduated the National Music School in her home city ("Clarinet") in the class of Zlatko Stoychev and the National Music Academy "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov ", Sofia ("Classical singing") in the class of doc. Ivanka Ninova. 2011 Michaela Berova had her debut on the stage of State opera, Varna. 2014 the young singer graduated the European program "Student Practices" led by Luciano Di Martino at State Opera, Plovdiv. Since season 2014/ 2015 she has been a soloist at State Opera Stara Zagora.

 

Michaela Berova participated in master classes of Anna Tomova-Sintova, Larissa Gergieva, Prof. Resa Koleva, Vera Nikolova and Olivier Doria.

 

The young mezzo-soprano has participated at the chamber music festival "Slavonic Hug" (Varna). She is a GrandPrix winner at the "Romance-lovely sound" (Sofia, Bulgaria) as well as at "Balkan romansiada" (Sofia, Bulgaria). She has performed in Germany, France and Cyprus.

 

Michaela Berova has worked with the conductors Alexander Yosifov, Atanas Varadinov, Borislav Ivanov, Georgi Dimitrov, Grigor Palikarov, Deyan Pavlov, Zdravko Lazarov, Ivo Mainen (The Netherlands), Ivailo Krinchev, Yorgos Kountouris (Cyprus), Kiril Lambov, Krasimir Kashev, Maxim Samarov (USA) , Masayuki Honda (Japan), Svilen Simeonov, Stefan Boyadzhiev. She speaks English, French and Russian, as well as sings in Italian, German and Spanish.
